WHAT IS CREATIVE FLAME?
Creative Flame is a collective performance and fire dance ensemble created and operating mainly from Los Angeles, CA, now with bases on both US coasts.  The company travels regionally, nationally & worldwide presenting entertaining multimedia fire-based shows for audiences of all ages.

SHOW STYLES
Performances utilize various disciplines from Middle Eastern & tribal belly dance, Capoiera, Modern dance, Circus Skills, Martial Arts, Comedy, Vaudeville, Burlesque, and Cabaret. Through the shared art of Fire Dancing, Creative Flame delights crowds of all ages for any & every occasion. Various descriptions of our Show Styles & Formats here...

SCOPE
In addition to various theatrical pieces we perform, Creative Flame tailors shows to fit clients’ existing event themes, including music and costumes specially created for the event.  When no theme is specified, we perform MODERN TRIBAL STYLE, involving tribal style, ornate costuming, performing to percussion-heavy music tracks.  Performances feel highly ethnic; though no one particular ethnicity can be derived.

HISTORY
Created in Los Angeles in 2001, Creative Flame has performed in hundreds of cities and dozens of countries across the US & globe, with our roster of talented core members; With many featured presentations in/for the Film/Television industry, an impressive list of high-profile corporate clients, festivals, colleges, and private clients, Creative Flame performs over 30 objects on fire, including fireworks & flame effects.

The Creative Flame Company combines disciplines of Fire Arts, Juggling, Theatre and Dance to create unique and passionate presentations. They've entertained thousands, creating vibrant shows all over the world

Creative Flame provides a comprehensive $3million fire liability policy, with an official Certificate of Additional Insured bearing the names of event coordinators, venues and entities who require specific proof of coverage in their name.

Creative Flame's Performers are professionals at keeping it safe, while creating the illusion of 'danger'. The danger
effect is what makes fire shows so appealing for many people, providing truly exciting entertainment.

Having performed over 1000 shows, we've performed just about every event imaginable! Every event is unique, and performance experience / adaptability is VITAL when it comes to identifying with each event's unique circumstances to create the absolute best possible show.

When your event schedule is running late, a storm threatens an outside event, or other anticipated situations arise, we are flexible! We work with the coordinator to adjust showtimes, stall audiences, create intermissions, and otherwise adapt our performances to the unique nature of the situation. BIOGRAPHY

CREATOR / DIRECTOR SEBASTIAN 'Bash' GOMEZ

Sebastian started his performing career by necessity in the mid '90s; On a 3-month European tour, bringing just $500, he was broke after 2 weeks and had to turn his hobby of juggling into a street performance in order to survive. Through the 1990's, he continued performing comedic street and theatre juggling routines up and down the eastern seaboard, from Portland, Maine to famous Mallory's Dock in Key West, Florida. He attended business school in the seaport city of Charleston, SC, financing his education by selling juggling equipment and street performing in Charleston's Market district. During this time, he forged the Stickman Juggling Company, teamed up with comedic thespian Kevin Robertson to form the "Flaming Avocado Brothers." Sebsatian returned to New Jersey upon graduation in 1996, to perform at Atlantic City's Taj Mahal Casino~ but the cold weather was too much, and he moved back to Charleston, forming a 3-man juggling team - "the KingPins," with brothers Mike and Matt Adams.

In the new milennium, he moved to Los Angeles to study with master performance artists and pyrotechnicians, to strengthen his act. It was here, that technical juggling took a back burner to the art of Fire Dancing.
Within the past few years, Sebastian has attached fire to over 30 separate juggling apparatus, including some more nonconventional items...Some of which include the Maori Fire Chains, A 6' Fire Staff, a Flaming balancing chair, Fire eating torches, and fire diabolo. He has been involved with such groups as the Elemental Fire Show, Got Fire?, Hearthfire, Clowns of the US, Fireplay LA, and the Burningman Fire Conclave. He created his own performance troupe, Creative Flame Company, which has attracted attention from international clients & festivals.

in 2004, having performed feats of fire throughout 20 countries including the Middle East, most of North America, Europe, Mexico and the Carribbean, and always in search of a new challenge, Sebastian partnered with friend and coperformer, Marcy Whipkins to create A second Base near The east Coast Film Studios in Wilmington, NC. They created a Circus arts and musical entertainment venue called the Juggling Gypsy, which is still in operation to this day, attracting music, cirque, and fringe entertainment acts from across the world. HIs passion forthe combustible arts has recently led him into Creating flammable propane-based stationary art, music-reactive fire apparatus, firewalking, and Pyrotechnic / Fireworks displays and manipulation.

Sebastian currently manages operations of several simultaneous Creative Flame Projects, and though he isn't on every performance, it doesn't happen without him. Always carrying a torch for the fire arts, Sebastian performs worldwide with various incarnations of Creative Flame.
